We are happy to report that MLCC has an abundance of adult study programs to choose from. It would be fruitless to attempt to list what subject each class is studying since subjects change from time to time. For current information, please send a request using the form below.
Saturday Nights @ 6:00 pm
Saturday Night - Doug Dykstra
The Saturday night Solid Rock Class, taught by Doug Dykstra, is a class for adults that want to take their faith to the next level. Through this class you will learn to take Gods timeless truths and implement them into your lives. This class meets in the chapel (room #22).
Plan on coming out at 5:15 p.m. each week and share dinner with us, and then go to the Bible Study and worship that follows.
Saturday Night – Brent Elliott
This class, taught by Brent Elliott, is a place where young adults, married or single, can learn Biblical principles that will assist them in their lives. We meet in a relaxed atmosphere where there are a variety of components to our class time. Some weeks we might even implement a game of some kind. Our class is run in a discussion format where we value people's insight and experience. We want people to be able to connect with God while connecting with people. Come and check it out; you won't be disappointed. This class meets in the gym.

Sunday Morning - Brent Elliott
This class, taught by Brent Elliott, is entitled: “Losing Your Religion: Finding Your Faith.” It is a place where young adults, married or single, can learn Biblical principles that will help them mature in Christ. Our class is designed to help young adults see every aspect of their lives through the eyes of faith. Our class is run in a discussion format where we value people's insight and experience. We want people to be able to connect with God while connecting with people. Come and check it out; you won't be disappointed. This class meets in the chapel (room #22).
Sunday Morning - Marge Brady
Marge Brady leads a class for women, located in classroom #31. This class is an encouraging class and promises to be a blessing to all those attending.
This class is a book study with occasional theme studies.
This class meets regularly for outings and activities outside of the classroom.
Sunday Morning - Wyburn Osborn and Dick Mills
Wyburn Osborn and Dick Mills are leading an adult study using popular adult lesson series that are geared toward maturity in our Christian lives. Such topics include: Faith Under Fire, Faith Under Pressure, The Word of God, A Call to Prayer, Praise Under Pressure, and Take Comfort. This class meets in the gym.
Since this is a topical study, the class is always filled with lots of discussion. Each member is encouraged to speak; however, they are not obligated to do so.
Outside of class time, the group enjoys fellowship socials several times each year in a more relaxed atmosphere by going out to eat, or over to a member's house.

Wednesday Nights @ 7:00 pm
Wednesday – Brent Elliott
This class is geared for adults who are raising children. We recognize that parents have a difficult job, but it is also very rewarding. This class is meant to be a place to find help, instruction and encouragement to be a better parent. It is called: “Help, There’s a Teenager Living in my House.” For parents with teens we will cover some things that will help you with your teen. For those parents whose children are young we want to prepare you for the future. We meet in the chapel (room #22) at 7PM.
Wednesday - Doug Dykstra
On Wednesday nights, our minister, Doug, is teaching on different themes from the Bible. This class is a source of encouragement and joy, where you will leave refreshed and excited about your faith. The class meets in the Sanctuary.
The study begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends promptly at 8:00. Consider coming a little earlier to the dinner we have each Wednesday night at 5:15. Call the office at 343-9020 for details.

Discovery Classes
Discovering Mid- Lakes - is intended to get people familiar with who we are at
Mid- Lakes. This class will explain what we believe and how the church
functions. This class is taught by Doug Dykstra, our senior minister every other month.
Discovering Healthy Habits - is a class that will explore four key elements that
are needed to help us grow in Christ. This class is taught by Brent Elliott or Wyburn Osborn on Wednesdays.
Discovering Your Design - is a class where you will find out your strengths and interests in order to find a place of service in the kingdom. This class is also
taught by Brent Elliott or Wyburn Osborn on Wednesdays.
Discovering Your Influence - is a class where we will explore how you can make
an impact on other people's lives and point them to Christ. This class is also
taught by Brent Elliott or Wyburn Osborn on Wednesdays.

Uniquely for Women
Every Tuesday night at 7PM a group of ladies meets in the Café (room #24) for Bible Study. This class is a book study where everyone reads the chapter and comes to discuss it. The book that is currently being studied is “The Purpose Driven Life.” Come and try it out.
Cracker Barrel Bible Study
Tuesday Morning Women’s “Meet the Characters of the Bible” at Cracker Barrel – 7 AM This one-hour class of Bible study and sharing meets weekly. It is set early so many women who work outside the home can participate. Students read and study through the whole Bible within one year while getting to be close friends with each other. Cheryl Dykstra is the leader of the group.

Every Monday, the High School Youth meet for an in-depth study of the Bible. Right now we are studying the book of Revelation. This study is for teens that want to get serious about God’s word.

Storm stands for Serving, Teaching, Obeying, Relying, and Maturing in Christ.

3:00 – 5:30, games in the gym and youth building.
5:30 – 6:30, dinner in the gym $2.00 for teens.
6:30 – 8:00, Highly energized teen Worship, topical Bible studies on issues that teens face, and interactive games to build relationships.

Pre K – Kindergarten
KFC (Kids For Christ)
This class is taught by Miss Danielle Middlebrook and incorporates learning Bible stories and moral lessons with some active play. Children are encouraged to participate in lesson questions, coloring, crafts, hands on activities and music. Miss Danielle has a reputation for her patient, loving nature. Your preschooler is sure to love this class. It meets at the back of the gym in Room #25.
Kindergarten – 1st Grade
Wisdom Kids
Ms. Shannon Shaffer always makes this class lots fun for our young learners. She teaches on moral lessons and Bible basics. This class always includes a fun game, craft or activity. Ms. Shannon always makes the children feel welcomed and right at home. Wisdom Kids meets at the back of the gym in Room #26.
2nd Grade – 5th Grade
Route 52
Our Route 52 class is taught by Ms. Cheryl Dykstra. This class often matches a live scientific experiment with a Bible lesson. It is designed to get our young thinkers involved in problems solving, independent thinking and relating ideas quickly with the Bible. This class often reads aloud, but only if the child volunteers. It is an exciting class that your child will ask to come back to time and again. This class meets across the Café in Room #32.

Saturday Worship @ 7pm
Worship & Holy Hangout
Our children ages 4 years – 5th grade are encouraged to go in the sanctuary with their parents for the praise and worship during the beginning of the service. After Communion and offering the children are dismissed for Holy Hangout. Holy Hangout is designed to be beneficial for both the parents and children. Parents are able to better relate and understand the sermon message without child distractions. Children are more enthusiastic about Biblical learning when given age appropriate lessons. When children are dismissed for Holy Hangout they go to the rooms at the back of the gym and are separated by age group. Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten are together in Room #25 and Grade 1st – 5th in Room #26. Younger children’s lessons are always interesting with crafts and snacks. The older children are taught by an interactive video series called Kidmo along with additional personal teaching and scripture memorization. Holy Hangout is lots of fun for our young ones and sure to be a big hit with your children too!

This Kids For Christ class is taught by Michelle Hanson, our Children’s Director. The class always includes fun Bible story learning, an activity and a craft to take home. Our little ones love coming to this class and learning Bible stories and moral lessons. Prayer time and encouraging children to pray aloud is always part of the class. Children will come home knowing their Bible lesson week after week when attending this class. This Kids For Christ meets at the back of the gym in Room #26.
2nd Grade – 5th Grade
Route 52

Ages 4 years - Kindergarten
God’s Gang
God’s Gang is a great mid-week class for young children. Our teachers, Leslie and Mike Lee, love teaching and getting to know each child. Their gentle spirits are a wonder example and make for a truly fun and inviting class. This class often uses video aides as well as personal teaching of Bible stories, games, crafts and snacks. God’s Gang meets at the back of the gym in room #25.
1st Grade – 2nd Grade
Super Kids
Our Super Kids class is taught by former private school teacher, Donna Folsom. Donna is great with kids and always makes her class age appropriate fun. The kids often come home with Bible activity pages and crafts. The children always retain what they’ve learned in class and how it applies to their life. Super Kids meet in the back of the gym in Room #26.
3rd – 5th Grade
Wild & Wacky
The class is great learning fun for our 3rd – 5th graders. The teacher, Joanna Kellermeyer (Miss Jo), is really good with this age group. She keeps them interested in Bible learning, encourages scripture memorization and Bible books memorization as well. This class also has fun game nights and is always very social during discussion time. It’s a great time for all the kids that attend. Wild and Wacky meet in the gym, across form the café, in Room #33.

Nursery and Toddler (Birth – 3 years old)
Upon your child’s check-in you will receive an identification number. If for any reason your child needs you during the service (i.e. for health or behavioral needs, etc) your child’s personal identification number will appear on the bottom of the media screen in the sanctuary, alerting you to come to the nursery or toddler area. This identification system allows you to feel comfortable in the worship service, knowing your child’s needs are our first priority.

We offer Nursery and Toddler programs for both our class and worship service on Saturday nights. Our nursery and toddler rooms are staffed with a paid Nursery Supervisor and an assistant, as well as weekly rotating volunteers.
The infants who are ages 0 – 1 year old are taught simple Bible related lessons with simple crafts or coloring pages We also have music time, playtime, story time, snack (when age appropriate) and much more! Your infant will be well taken care in our warm, caring nursery environment.
Toddlers, ages 2 years – 3 years old, are also given age appropriate Bible lessons and crafts along with music praise time, playtime, story time, and snack. We also provide time to play outside on our child-friendly fence- enclosed outdoor play equipment when weather permits. Your toddler will love coming to church with you and is sure to enjoy the child-friendly and exciting environment we have to offer. Let them come and be the judge!

Wednesday 7:00 pm Bible Study Hour
Our Wednesday program is staffed with a paid Nursery Supervisor and weekly rotating volunteers. The infants and toddlers are separated by age when more than seven children are present. They are taught an age appropriate Bible lesson, have story time and play time. Our infants and toddlers absolutely love coming on Wednesday nights and receiving the one-on-one attention they deserve. It’s sure to be a great time for you and for them!
